Lawrence Harrison

A highly experienced civil and workplace mediator willing to mediate almost any type of dispute either remotely using online platforms or face to face. Lawrence combines a highly commercial approach with a commonsense attitude. He is extremely effective at keeping all parties focused on finding workable solutions.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Lawrence qualified as a solicitor in 1989 having read Law at UCL and Queens’ College, Cambridge. He has 30 years’ experience as a commercial solicitor helping clients ranging from individuals to very large multi-national corporations to negotiate commercial resolutions to their disputes. He was a partner at the Simkins Partnership for many years then founded the specialist entertainment and media firm Harrison Curtis. In addition to his mediation work Lawrence continues to practice as a consultant solicitor with Swan Turton LLP.

Since training as a mediator with ADR Group in 2009 he has mediated and helped successfully resolve hundreds of disputes and developed a successful mediation practice in the South West.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Lawrence Harrison trained as a civil and commercial mediator with ADR Group and as a workplace mediator with Steve Hindmarsh. He was accredited as a mediator by the ADR Group in 2009 and was awarded the National Certificate of Mediation Skills (workplace) in 2019. He is registered as a mediator with the Civil Mediation Council and was appointed a Fellow of the CMC in 2022.
