Helena Campbell

 

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

An Associate and Chartered Legal Executive specialising in high value complex  medical negligence at Tozers LLP.

 

An accredited panel mediator with a range of experience, undertaking mediation based in the South West but mediating and tutoring nationally and internationally since 2009. 

 

Helena’s mediation experiences cover a range of topics including disputes on the following:

 

  • Personal Injury;

  • Medical Negligence;

  • Dispute Resolution;

  • Property and Housing;

  • Financial and commercial disputes;

  • Workplace and employment;

  • Charity.

 

Helena has Litigator status with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.  An accredited mediator and panel member with The Society of Mediators, as well as a trainer on the faculty tutoring for foundation and advanced mediation courses and CPD days nationally and internationally. 

 

A Civil Mediation Counsel Accredited mediator.

A sitting committee member with the Association of South West Mediators.

 

An approved panel member for the multitrack personal injury and medical negligence mediation pilot at Bristol District Registry.  A panel mediator with the Almshouse Association property and housing pilot scheme.

She provides mentoring opportunities and observations of aspiring mediators.

 

When not mediating, Helena is an Associate at Tozers LLP acting for Claimants since 2003, now in complex medical negligence matters.  Helena is known for her sensitive and empathetic nature and outstanding client care and therefore acts for the most vulnerable Claimants.  Helena has a specific interest in stillbirth and neonatal death, serious child injury cases, fatal cases and oncology matters.  Helena regularly undertakes mediations in her capacity as a litigator.

 

Helena is affiliated with a number of South West charities, she is the Chair of the Board of Trustees for Veterans With Dogs and is an Ambassador and Befriender for the Meningitis Research Foundation.  Helena works closely with baby loss charities.  Helena works alongside local childhood cancer charities and local hospices.

Helena lives in Plymouth with her husband, 10-year-old daughter and miniature dachshund.  Enjoying spending time paddle-boarding and doing Pilates and is happiest anywhere near the coast.
